Srinagar, Jun 20 (KNO): Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Khalid Jehangir on Friday said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have greater faith in Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha than in Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Jehangir said, “The Chief Minister need to be reminded that youth are watching him and have lost trust in the fake promises which he had made to them.”
The BJP leader said that on the other hand LG Sinha has been “leading from the front” and is ensuring that genuine grievances of people are redressed and their demands are met. “LG Sinha has worked hard to fulfill the promises and commitments that were made to the youth,” he added.
Praising LG Sinha for ensuring that “no one goes unheard” Jehangir said, “The grievance redressal systems put in place by his administration have kept the officials accessible to common people 24x7.”
The BJP leader said that prior to assembly polls, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had made tall claims. “However, after assuming power, he has stopped talking about the pledges he had taken,” he added.
